About the Author

Ed Delon is a retired Sergeant Major of the United States Army. Throughout his lifelong Army career, he served in both combat and humanitarian operations. These military experiences played a major role in shaping his interest in the Constitution and the ways the United States interacts with its friends and allies throughout the world.

Ed spent the latter part of his career in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He is the first to admit that he is a C-SPAN news junkie and has followed politics and foreign policy issues for more than 20 years.

His Work

Ed’s passion for politics, foreign policy, and current events inspired his journey as an author. He has written two books focused on civics, politics, and international relations: Your Voice Your Vote and A Constitutional Democracy: Voices and Votes.

His book Your Voice Your Vote was required reading in government and political science courses taught by Professor Bradley A. Blakeman, J.D. of Georgetown University.

Ed’s background in military service, his long-standing interest in politics and foreign policy, and his dedication to civic understanding continue to guide his work as an author. Through his writing, he encourages readers to better understand government, the Constitution, and the role informed citizens play in American democracy.
